LT has extensive experience in managing and supporting IT Infrastructure in Financial Industries. He worked in a global bank in Hong Kong and in a major bank in Australia with over 20 years of IT experience. He obtained his Executive Master degree in Business Administration (EMBA) from Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM).
He began his IT career as a mainframe system programmer in a major bank in Hong Kong before he took up the network support role of a major bank in Australia. Tung then rejoined the global bank in Hong Kong to lead the server technical support teams to provide systems, middleware and database support. He played a key role in designing and delivering the AIX system, middleware and database infrastructure to support demanding, high profile regional and global open platform applications. He works with his teams to deliver and support the rapid growing front end layer of the award winning internet banking system and also many urgent, high profile open platform applications. He led his teams to support the migration of mainframe applications to open platforms during complicated data center migration.
He then took up a role to lead a global team with members from different countries to design and implement global strategies in application server and messaging technologies. Then, he consolidated his extensive experience in operation infrastructure solutions and returned to the drawing board. He works with other subject matter experts in designing solutions to support global applications with focus on standardization and cost effectiveness.
He is a leader with long-range vision in directing highly skilled technical teams to support the achievement of overall company objectives and process improvements with focus on deliverables, standardization and problem solving. His core competencies include people management, project management, technology integration, virtual team management, process improvement, infrastructure design and implementation.
